TROUT STOCKINGS:
The Club will be purchasing trout to be stocked in local streams during the peak of season. The stockings will take place in late April / early May (3 Wednesday mornings biweekly, sequentially) and will take place during the weeks that the State stockings will KOT be taking place. Two stockings will take place in Laurel I fill Creek and one will take place in both Fall Run and Blue Hole Run.

Format

$70 per Shooter

Shooters will be organized in groups of 4

Individuals will be allocated into teams with available slots

Every participant shoots at 15 to 18 stations for a total of 100 birds
Safety Guidelines

Shooters are permitted to use trap loads only (nothing greater than 7 ½ shot)

Bring your own ammunition (100 rounds for shootout); limited availability at Buffer Creek

Eye and Ear protection required!
In addition…
Lunch and Soft Drinks will be provided!!!
Prizes will be awarded to the top shooters in Men’s, Ladies and Youth (ages 14 and younger) groups
Door prizes, a 50/50 raffle, and a gun raffle

YOUTH FIELD DAY
SRGC Youth Field Day was held Saturday, August 1, 2026.
19 Youth enjoyed the day moving through 8 stations. 31 volunteers helped to make this a successful and fun day. The 8 stations were shotgun shooting, muzzleloader shooting, fly fishing, archery, trapping, 22 shooting, turkey calling, and blue bird box building. Everyone also enjoyed a nice lunch. The day ended with several kids winning prizes from a raffle.

$1000 Jim “Hummer” Pletcher Award
A Rockwood graduating senior will be awarded the James "Hummer" Pletcher Award in June for $1000.
